Demand for tech jobs is still high in Singapore, despite recent industry layoffs. According to data from SkillsFuture Singapore, there were 70% more openings in 1Q2023 compared to the previous three months. The agency said those switching careers would qualify even for specialised roles, as the digital skills required are at an attainable level. In fact, eight in 10 such jobs emphasise non-technical skills like teamwork and stakeholder management. To help workers, SkillsFuture has updated its course on basic skills like automation and cybersecurity.
