This chili is one of our household favorites, especially during the winter season. This is one of the easiest dinners to make during the busy week. And I love you that you can cook the entire dish in the instant pot so clean up is easy too!
Ingredients:
2 Cans of Chopped/Diced Tomatoes
I used "chili ready" but you could use any kind
1 Can of Beans - Kidney, red, whatever you have
1 can of Tomato Paste
1 lb of Frozen Ground Beef
1-2 Cups of Water, to add as needed
I used water, you could use tomato juice, or beef/chicken stock for more flavor.
2 chili seasoning packs- or you're own blend of chili spices
Extra seasonings- garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion powder to taste
Steps:
1st- Brown your meat. Since I started with frozen beef, I put the beef in the instant pot and cooked with 2 cups of water, on the meat setting for 15 minutes.
Once done, I drained the water, and removed the trivet. Then, cooked the beef on sauté to brown, my instant pot set a timer for 30 minutes for the sauté setting, it took about 10 minutes to brown the meat.

2nd- Once the meat is browned, I added the canned ingredients and continued to sauté until the timer reached 12 minutes. At that point, add the uncooked pasta noodles, if desired. I used Ditalini but you could use shells, elbow, or sphagetti- whatever you have or prefer. Put the lid on the instant pot once the noodles are in and mixed up, and let cook for the 12 minutes. Open halfway through to stir, and add water if needed.
3rd- Enjoy your easy chili!
