#shorts VNG (Videonystagmography)
A VNG test measures involuntary eye movements called a nystagmus. A nystagmus occurs when there is a miscommunication between the eyes and the inner ear which can result in dizziness and instability. Voluntary eye movements such as pursuits and saccades are also performed and smaller involuntary movements can be observed in these larger movements as well such as square wave jerks.
