Regensburg was founded in 179 AD as the Roman military camp Castra Regina. To this day, there are visible traces of the Roman past, such as parts of the city wall.

The old town of Regensburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It impresses with its narrow streets, historic buildings and medieval flair.
