Students from the University of Education Freiburg have participated in the SALAM program since 2009. These students act as mentors for children between the ages of 8 and 11 for 2-3 hours a week over the course of 9 months.
SALAM means „welcome“ and the acronym has a special meaning for the program which translates to: Playing – Collaboration – Learning – Attentive Cooperation.
