🌊🌿 Introducing BIOARMONIA! 🌿🌊

We are thrilled to announce the deployment of 3 innovative integrated multitrophic modules with aquacultured corals, known as "BIOARMONIA." These structures, made from sustainable Net-Zero AragoReef material, are designed for coral reef restoration and seagrass conservation in the Mesoamerican Reef System. 🌍💧

The BIOARMONIA modules were developed by the NGO Reef Aquaculture Conservancy (RAC) through the Blue Ocean Credits Program (BOCP): Accelerating the Coastal Decarbonization Efforts in the Mesoamerican Reef System, and supported by the Net Zero Research Fund 2022 and 2023 from the Climate Change Center of Excellence, Scotiabank Canada. 🏦🇨🇦

The BIOARMONIA modules were deployed at "El Meco Reef, Punta Sam, Quintana Roo, Mexico" with the kind support of the Instituto Mexicano de Investigación en Pesca y Acuicultura (IMIPAS), Asociados Náuticos de Quintana Roo (ANQROO), Administración Portuaria Integral de Quintana Roo (APIQROO), and Consorcio de Ingeniería y Construcción Aplicada (CICA).

We deeply appreciate the efforts of the environmental consultants Dr. Claudia Padilla Souza, Biol. Alfredo Arellano Guillermo, Enric Valencia Aban, and their amazing, highly committed teams (20 people) made this possible. 🌺

Additionally, we extend our heartfelt thanks for the tremendous support in pushing forward this coral restoration project to Dr. Guillermo A. Corona Herrera (President RAC), MA.
