As part of documenting the Mumbai Suburban section and one that I’m most fond of is the stretch between Virar and Dahanu Road as I always wondered how this places looked and wanted to visit all of these places at least the railway stations. The first time ever I travelled further than Virar was on 29th October 2012 when I went to meet one of my female friends who used to live in Palghar (West). Post that, I visited Palghar once again on bank inspection duty while doing a pre credit check. I then visited Dahanu Road and roamed about a bit with my mother on 16th April 2016 for the first time as well as it was my mothers first time travelling beyond Virar. After that, I did visit Dahanu Road again with my mother and other female friend on 30th April 2016. After a gap of more than a year, I had another bank duty inspection at Boisar along with my work colleague.
Since I always was curious about these places, I wanted to document and store some pictures for my collection and in the process filmed some few short videos which I’ve already posted on my channel in the year 2022, however, I’ve now repurposed them into Youtube Shorts to reach a wider audience and therefore I’ve posted a few more videos from my adventures documenting the Railway Stations between Virar and Dahanu Road in late January 2019 and early February 2019 which was just about a month and a half away before I supposedly migrated to Australia. The deaths I visited the railway stations are as under:
Vaitarna on 30th January 2019
Saphale on 01st February 2019
Kelve Road on 01st February 2019
Palghar on 04th February 2019,
Boisar on 05th February 2019,
Umroli on 04th February 2019,
Vangaon on 08th February 2019 and
Dahanu Road on 08.02.2019
In these videos, I filmed whatever I could at the time, ranging from some good trains with their locomotives, their goods, local EMU trains, station platforms, the surroundings and views at the stations, construction or renovation work, express trains passing through, footer bridges, the stairs, trees, future construction work of WWDC etc.
I’ve always been a fan of Indian Railways and Western Railway is a division of Indian Railway of which Dahanu Road to Churchgate is the section I most like especially Dahanu Road to Virar as that’s the route I’ve least travelled.
