The modern parallel hybrid system of the Ceed Sportswagon Plug-in Hybrid has a total output of 104 kW (141 hp). It combines a 1.6-liter direct-injection petrol engine (77.2 kW/105 hp) and a 44.5 kW electric motor (60.5 hp) with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The station wagon accelerates to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds (top speed: 195 km/h, depending on equipment). The combined consumption is 1.3 liters of petrol and 11.6 kilowatt hours of electricity per 100 kilometers (29 g/km CO 2 ). The 8.9 kW battery can be charged from zero to 100 percent in 2:45 hours at a 240 volt charging station with 3.3 kWh.

The extensive standard equipment includes, among other things, LED headlights, audio system with 20.2 cm (8 inch) touchscreen, smartphone interface with voice control, two-zone automatic climate control, smart key, reversing camera, rain, twilight and parking sensors ( rear), height-adjustable and heated front seats, heated leather steering wheel, supervision instrument cluster, auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, power-folding exterior mirrors, fog lights and 16-inch alloy wheels. Depending on the version, 26 cm navigation (10.25 inches) including the online services Kia UVO Connect, digital cockpit, leather interior, electrically adjustable driver's seat, front seat ventilation, sensor-controlled electric tailgate, electric glass sunroof and 17- Custom alloy wheels.

With the wheelbase unchanged (2,650 mm), the front overhang has slightly shortened (880 mm, minus 20 mm; plug-in: 885 mm, minus 15 mm), while the rear overhang has been lengthened considerably (1,070 mm, plus 115 mm).

A real eye-catcher is the free-standing 26 cm navigation system (10.25 inches, depending on equipment; for details see the "Infotainment and connectivity" chapter). It protrudes from the top of the central console, which is slightly tilted towards the driver. The Kia Ceed Sportswagon Plug-in Hybrid is available with the new UVO Connect online services. They provide the driver with important, individually tailored information and also offer remote control functions and diagnostic data. Offered in combination with the 26 cm (10.25") map navigation system, UVO Connect includes the Kia Live service and functions that can be controlled via the Kia UVO App.

The driver can access Kia Live via the navigation system's touchscreen, which retrieves and updates data via its own SIM card. The service offers, for example, traffic information in real time, weather forecasts, warnings of danger zones and the search for "points of interest". In addition, the driver can display nearby parking options, including information on prices and available spaces, as well as the nearest charging stations with details on compatibility and availability.
