STORYLINE:
Hundreds of villagers in Pakistan's Punjab province had to flee their homes as heavy rain caused floodwaters to rise to unprecedented levels.
Since mid-June, the floods in Punjab's south have swollen rivers and damaged highways and bridges, disrupting traffic.
In the village Fazalpur, one rescue worker said the team is doing their best to bring people to safety with less than a dozen boats.
Numan Ali, a rescue worker at the scene said that between eight to 10 boats were deployed during the rescue operation and that teams of his colleagues were working on bringing people to a safe location.
