Grand View wrestler Eric Thompson ended a memorable night for the Vikings with a first-period pin to win the heavyweight title at the 2012 NAIA National Wrestling Tournament in Des Moines. Grand View also won the team title. Thompson credited coaches Nick Mitchell and Paul Reedy , along with the Grand View community, with getting his wrestling back on track.
