Riley Andersen, 13, faces new challenges as she enters high school and tries to join the hockey team. Her "Sense of Identity" is disrupted by new emotions (Anxiety, Envy, Shame, and Ennui), creating conflicts with the original emotions. Anxiety takes control, leading Riley into trouble and isolation. Eventually, the original and new emotions collaborate to restore Riley's emotional balance, who reconciles with her friends and finds harmony in her life.
