Honda CB750 Horn Repair, Indicator Wiring, & General Motorcycle Wiring Loom Fixes | Part 6
Honda CB750K Horn Repair, Indicator Wiring fix and General Wiring Harness Clean Up - Motorcycle Wiring Loom Repair
I found that the indicator wiring was a bit of a puzzle and the relay seemed suspect. Having created a loom for the warning lights I found that the indicator warning lamp needed more consideration.
The indicator wiring in the loom and switchgear didn’t match because the loom was from a UK bike that didn’t have running lights at the front and the indicator switchgear was from an American market bike that did.
I used diodes to connect the indicator warning light, the loom was from a bike that had a left and right warning light, whereas I only had one light. If I just connected the wires together all 4 lights would flash at once. With the diodes in place, this stopped the power crossing to the wrong side.
The horn was another problem, in that it didn’t work. I stripped it down, cleaned the contacts and got it going. I need to look at it again if I am going to improve the cosmetics of the bike, but I may change it for something a little bit louder.
Here's what I used in this video:

Now I have everything working on the bike I will wait until I have the engine running to check the charging circuit.
