(10 Dec 2017) Spain held its annual Santa Claus charity run in Madrid.
7,000 runners - many of them children - dressed up on Sunday in Madrid for a Christmas-themed run.
Adults wore Santa Claus costumes while children under twelve dressed as green elves as they ran the five kilometre (3 mile) race though the centre of the Spanish capital.
Olympic medalist Fermin Cacho won the 1500 metres at the 1992 Summer Olympics and was the Santa Claus run's official sponsor.
The winner of the charity run, Luis Figueroa, completed the race in 16 minutes 20 seconds.
In 2016, most participants completed the race in under an hour.
Proceeds from the Santa Claus run go to the INTHEOS foundation, a cancer treatment charity.
