We return to campsite 10 at Mohican State Park for just a quick overnight. For this trip I return to the ground! I seriously don’t know how people don’t hammock camp. Sleeping on the ground is rough! While I slept decently, tent camping for me is miles away from the comfort I have hammock camping. I was trying out a new tent, the Ozark Trail one person hiking tent (weighs around 4 pounds) and practicing some ground sleeping in preparation for the day when I camp out West where trees are scarcer and hammock camping options are fewer and farther between.
We spent one night at campsite 10, park and pack site. Then we headed down to the canoe and kayak livery. There are a TON of options but I opted to rent from the River Run Campground. Drew and Brandon brought their own kayaks which made it difficult because we had to find someone who would let us launch from their property AND find a public spot to get out. Overall we had a good trip and it was nice that the weather held out for us.
