Mary Kelly, of Ardrossan, Ayrshire, (left) was meant to be looking after 80-year-old Patricia Tracey at her home when she was secretly filmed rifling through her cupboard and stealing her money (right). The 32-year-old was caught out when Patricia's son Kevin noticed money had gone missing from his mother's savings, which she kept stashed in a cupboard at her home in Saltcoats, Ayrshire. Suspicious relatives installed a clock with a built-in camera in one of the rooms of the house and caught Kelly going into a wardrobe and stealing money only a matter of hours later. Kelly, a mum-of-one, has been sentenced to a Community Payback Order and ordered to pay compensation to her victim after she pleaded guilty to stealing.
