In his talk, Keren explains the enormous benefits of taking part in social action and why it should be a central part of what children learn in school. Giving children agency over the causes that they care about not only provides young people with the crucial sense of empowerment that they need, but it develops everything from empathy to a sense of community and can even alleviate stress levels. Most importantly, it will help ensure a generation of open-minded, knowledgeable and charitable adults in the future.
Keren is a parent of four children. He is the co-founder of SuperKind, the social action platform for schools, which works with tens of thousands of children to educate, inspire and empower the next generation to take action and make a difference to the world around them. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
