Casanova doesn't explicitly say that he visited the house of playwrite Carlo Goldoni, but it's likely that he did. Goldoni wrote two plays for Casanova's mother Zanetta that catapulted her to stardom. Goldoni is a colorful figure and instrumental to the development of Commedia dell'Arte.
