Biopesticides exist in the market today, but using them can be tricky for producers. Researchers in two Ohio State departments are testing a proprietary protein that boosts the effectiveness of biopesticides and biostiumulants when sprayed on plants both in the greenhouse or in the field. Dr. Guo-Liang Wang's project, funded by the Nationwide AgTech Innovation Hub collaboration with CFAES, tests how this new product could give tomato farmers a powerful new tool to combat bacterial spot.
