Ingredients
Fish - 1/2 kg - We used Mackerel fish but you can use any fish
Kashmiri chili - 1 bowl
Spicy chilli - 1/2 cup
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Salt- as required
Ginger and garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Curry leaves- two strips
Vinegar -1 tbsp
Tamarind- 1 small ball
whole Pepper - 2 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Water -1 1/2 cups
Oil - 1/2 cup
How to prepare Fish Masala Fry
Clean the fish and keep
Soak both chillies in hot water for 15-30 minutes before grinding
Grind both Kashmiri and spicy chillies along with cocum, whole pepper ,cumin seeds and water and make into a fine paste.
Transfer the paste to a bowl and add more more water, turmeric powder, salt, ginger garlic paste ,vinegar and mix well
Add fish and marinate for minimum 30 mins
Add oil to pan and heat in a medium flame
Once the oil is hot add fish and fry both the sides
Then keep the fish to a side in the same pan and add the mixture used for marination and fry it in oil for nearly 10 minutes in low to medium flame.
Fold the fish with the masala and cover the pan with the lid and keep for 3-5 minutes in very low flame
Spicy Fried Fish Masala is ready to serve
