'세계 스카우트들의 축제' 2023 새만금 잼버리 개막

The world's largest youth camp --the World Scout Jamboree --has opened in South Korea.
The event takes place at Saemangeum, Jeollabuk-do Province on the country's west coast, bringing together some 43-thousand teenagers from 1-hundred-58 countries.
Running from the 1st to the 12th of August a variety of programs are scheduled, including international food exchanges, a Korean temple stay and a K-pop concert.
It's the second time the country has hosted the event, which is held every four years, and aims to promote friendship and diplomacy through youth cultural exchanges.
This also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Korea Scout Association.
