Chinchero is a small village, less than an hour from Cusco, Peru. We arrived at a textile center where we got close to the alpacas and the native Incan women gave a weaving demonstration. We saw the wool from the alpaca be removed, cleaned, made into yarn, dyed and made into beautiful textiles. The women were dressed in traditional clothing. After the demonstration, we were able to purchase some of their woven goods.
