Today we're going to be taking a look at the Custer 10-Watt LED Strobe Light. This amber LED strobe light dresses up your vehicle. It is specially designed to assist all types of emergency vehicles. It's going to offer 14 different flash patterns so it's going to add a lot of variety and you can select whatever one you want, and then once you have that done, you can finish your wiring process. I'll walk you through how to select the pattern here in a moment, but it also comes with detailed installation instructions to help walk you through that entire process. Multiple lights can be synced together to flash together. Mounting bracket is included for a flush mount installation or you can surface mount without the bracket. The light is designed for interior use or exterior use, and it can be mounted inside headlights and taillight areas. You can mount it without the housing, you just use the included hardware and the pre-drilled mount holes.
Or if you want to use this, just place it over, mount it that way, and it's already got the pre-drilled mount holes for an easy installation. Does come with mounting hardware as well as a foam mounting gasket. The lens itself, that's going to give us a diameter measurement of right at 1", so it's a nice low-profile, small strobe light. The bracket, which is this piece here, this is going to give us a width measurement of about 2", with a length measurement of 2-3/8", and then those mount holes are separated on center by 1-7/8". The mount holes on the light are separated on center by an 1-1/4". You're going to get your wiring harness. This box right here measures 4-3/4" long x 1" wide x 3/8" tall.
This piece right here, this is going to measure 90" long, and then the light, this harness is going to measure 12" long, so you're going to have about 102" of total length to work with. It's very easy to get it hooked up, you just place these two connectors together. It's got the threaded collar that comes down, threads on, ensures a nice, tight connection. And then you're going to have your bare wires on this end, so red is for power, black wire is your ground wire, and then you're going to have a white wire, that's your trigger wire, that's how you select whatever function you want. And then green is your sync wire. We'll go ahead and hook this up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead light so you can see the low-light setting.
Now anytime you want to change a flash pattern, you take the trigger wire, which again is the white wire, and you just tap it to the power source, and that's going to change your flash pattern. It's going to light a cycle through until you find the one you want. We're going to go and turn off our overhead lights, and see how bright this little light is. It's got a super bright design to it. And then we'll just go through some of the patterns. Now in the instructions that it comes with, each pattern has a code that goes with it, to give it its name.
Again it's going to offer 14 different patterns, so you're going to have a variety all the way from some single strobes, whether it's fast or slower, to just multiple patterns. That's going to do it for today's look at the Custer 10-Watt LED Strobe Light.
