If you are anything like me, prepping a lemon for a smoothie can be a bit of a pain. Most times I would spend a few minutes cutting away much of the nutritious parts of the lemon.

Sometimes I’d slice it in pieces and make a mess of lemon juice trying to peel the skin off. Well, I finally had enough.

So, I hacked how to peel a lemon in only a couple of slices using a knife and a little finger work. The great part…

You maintain the highly nutritious rhine and pith, no messy lemon juice all over the counter, and a nice lemon peel that can be used as a delicious snack in the future.

In an effort to keep others SANE while making SANE Smoothies, I thought I would share the quick process with rest of you.

First, you will need a simple cutting board or plate. The second item you will need is a small knife. And of course, we will need a small or medium-sized lemon.
