On my recent trip to Kenya, I decided to visit the Kibera slums, a place I’ve heard so much about – often in a negative light. Curiosity got the best of me, and despite some hesitation (even Uber drivers didn’t want to take me there!), I made the trip solo.
In this video, I’ll share my experience of exploring Kibera, from navigating the streets to interacting with the people. Surprisingly, I managed to make it through without any trouble – and I have some thoughts to share about what I saw versus what I’d been told.
