Meatloaf is a great holiday dish. It is based on minced meat. Inside the roll there is cheese, ham and mushrooms. Nuts add extra flavor to the dish. Meatloaf can be served hot on a serving plate. Potatoes or vegetables are a great side dish. You can also serve the roll cold. Cut it into thin slices and arrange it with other meat appetizers. We are sure that the roll will be the first to disappear from the plate! Making meatloaf requires some skill, but the effort will be well worth the luxurious result.
Ingredients for making meatloaf:
2 pounds ground meat, such as beef, pork, veal, lamb, or a mix
1 teaspoon salt
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
1 tsp dry garlic
1 tbsp mustard
1 tsp dried Provencal greens
2 tbsp breadcrumbs
1 large egg
2 tbsp of milk
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 lb Champignons (about 250 g)
small piece of butter
vegetable oil
1/2 pound Maasdam cheese (250 g)
1/2 pound of ham (250 g)
1/2 pound smoked bacon (about 200 g)
