India's very own Ghost Island used to be very different! It used to be a tropical paradise for the British. They made the tiny Ross Island into a home away from home with even more luxury than they were used to in England. Now it's completely deserted and in ruins, find out why and how you can visit it from Port Blair.
Ross Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India is now known officially known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island. It's just 2km from Port Blair and is now a tourist attraction. It costs ₹350 return to take a boat from Port Blair. They give you about 90 minutes on the island. It's best if you go first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds.
