A brief introduction to the structure and use of the 6LoWPAN (IPv6 over Low-Power Wireless Personal Area Networks) protocol ("language") which has properties useful for the Internet of Things and Services. Message types and formats are presented, and some of the salient characteristics which pertain to the 'Internet of Things' and the 'Internet of Services' referred to.
