A PIL has been filed in the Bombay High Court seeking registration of an FIR against the CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aditya Thackeray and close aide MP Sanjay Raut for alleged "public nuisance" and sedition in the Bombay High Court on Tuesday amid a standoff between the MVA government and the rebel Sena MLAs.
Petitioner Hemant Patil, who claims to be a social and political activist from Pune, has further sought to restrain them from organising press conferences. The petition, filed by Pune-based social worker Hemant Patil, requested the HC to restrain the trio from making any further statements against Eknath Shinde, who is leading the dissident MLAs.
