Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Johannesburg's gold mine dumps may be an eyesore for some, but for others they are an opportunity for adventure. The slopes are made of a superfine mineral deposit left over from the gold rush mines created over a century ago, and are the perfect consistency for sand-boarding.
