Sources report that Tata Group might have emerged as the top bidder for acquiring Air India airlines. If the acquisition happens then all the 6 directors of Air India will be asked to resign by Nov-Dec. After this the govt. is also likely to have a meeting with the winning bidder to discuss how the entire financial structuring will take place. It was actually the Tatas who had originally established the airlines back in 1932 as Tata Airlines. The name was changed to Air India in 1946. It is being reported that Tata Sons is the top runner in this bid for Air India.
