My first book review of 2021 is a book that the New York Times called, "One of the most important works of history of our time." William L. Shirer's monumental work, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich dives into everything from the peasant upbringing that Adolf Hitler had, WWI and Germany's defeat and the effect that it had on Hitler and his hatred for Jews, to WW2, assassination plots on Hitler, and Nazi Germanys eventual defeat, to his eventual suicide in a Berlin Bunker. Shirer dives deep into the annals of history from the Birth of Hitler in 1889 to the Nuremberg Trials in 1946 and everything in between.
