All businesses operating in the Town of Hilton Head Island are required to obtain a Town business license.

This includes all property rentals such as short-term rentals, long-term rentals, commercial properties RV lots, and boat slips. A business license is an annual tax that is due each year by April 30th.

This includes regulations on noise, garbage, and parking. Failure to comply might result in receiving a citation and related fines.
