It’s an honor to present to you the first-ever Zakah-inspired nasheed, written, pioneered, and spearheaded by our guide and mentor, Shaykh Ismail Londt.

This special nasheed is a collaboration with SANZAF, the South African National Zakah Fund, in celebration of their 50th anniversary. It’s truly fitting to have partnered with them on this project, and we look forward to many more impactful collaborations with them and other businesses and organizations in the future.

Produced by our very talented brother, Waseem Fredericks, who deserves much credit for the sound you’ll hear—Alhamdulillah! And we can’t forget the many hours of recording and filming with our outstanding videographer, Brother Sedick Simons, who captured the beauty of this music video. May Allah bless him and increase him in his service to the Deen.

Now, let’s talk about the track itself: it carries a profound message. Perhaps the most powerful verse opens with, “Wealth is in our pockets and not in our hearts. Its test is for each of us. Its cure is Zakāh.”

The nasheed beautifully explains that zakah is not only a duty but also a way to truly enjoy and purify our wealth while uplifting others.
