A key foundation of a good bandeja is preparing with the elbow high. This allows the swing path of the racket to be more horizontal and therefore enables you to keep the ball low at the other end.

If you prepare with the elbow lower, you have to hit up on the contact point. The result? Usually a bouncy bandeja that is easy for your opponents to return.
