Occasionally you may need to replace the 3M tape that we use to attach our WannaBes chin mounts to your helmet. This is the same double sided 3M tape that GoPro uses on their sticky mounts. Our mounts are pretty much unbreakable so we tend not to worry about them but that being said if you crash hard enough you may tear away 3M tape thats holding it to the helmet. You may also want to take the mount off of your helmet and put it back on at some point. This tape is one time use so if you do have to take your mount off you'll need to replace the tape. This video gives you some quick instructions on how to do that. This may seem easy and it is assuming that you know that you need to glue the tape to the mount. Yes thats right, we use Gorilla Clear Grip glue to glue the tape to our mounts. The WannaBes mounts are made out of a hard rubberized material that is flexible. Since it is 3D printed it has a finish that feels like a vinyl record. The 3M tape doesn't stick as well to this surface because of the texture and because the mount material is flexible. We tested a ton of different rubberized glues and found that Gorilla Clear Grip works the best. When you get your replacement tape you'll want to apply a thin layer to the tape and then stick that to the mount. Allow the glue to dry for about 24 hours before you stick the mount back on the helmet. If you follow these step the tape will be very secure and you won't have an issue with your mount falling off of your helmet.
