The onset of the pandemic has brought to the forefront national and global vulnerabilities in the retail supply chains. Most countries around the world are therefore working toward creating resilient supply chains. These developments provide India an opportunity to draft smart industrial policies and promote investments to become a part of the global supply chains. The Global Technology Summit (GTS) is an engaging platform that brings together world leaders, cabinet ministers from different countries, CEOs of the world’s largest tech companies, key data privacy and security experts, representatives from different central banks, and leading scientists and public health professionals to reflect on rapid technological change and discuss policy measures to harness this transformation for national and international development.
While the first four editions were held physically in Bengaluru, the fifth edition was hosted virtually. Keeping in view the COVID situation, the sixth edition of the Summit was organized from December 14 to 16, in a hybrid format in Delhi, with all international and some Indian participants joining virtually.
The theme for this year’s Summit was Global Meets Local. The three days covered specific themes as listed below:
