Performances by internationally renowned dance companies including the Mark Morris Dance Group, Rasta Thomas' Bad Boys of Dance, Chunky Move, Stockholm 59° North, Shantala Shivalingappa, the Royal Danish Ballet, Mimulus Dance Company of Brazil, Zaccho Dance Theatre, Suzanne Farrell Ballet, and the Paul Taylor Dance Company propel the story with rare onstage and backstage views.
Intimate and entertaining interviews with artists provide insight and inspiration, including the Pillow's visionary founder, Ted Shawn, as well as Paul Taylor, Mark Morris, Suzanne Farrell, Judith Jamison, Frederic Franklin, Bill Irwin, Rasta Thomas, Shantala Shivalingappa, Jomar Mesquita and Nikolaj Hübbe, and one of the last filmed interviews with dance legend Merce Cunningham.
