Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Goal Zero Light-A-Life Mini with shades. This kit is going to include four of these lights that will help light up your tent or a small campsite, so that you can see in the dark. Make sure that you're doing all the things that you need to do in the dark. If you're reading a book or a seminar camp, whatever the case may be.
These are a bright LED that's going to provide up to 110 lumens each.So it should give you lots of light to make sure that you're getting everything set up and they are USB-powered so they can work with your power pack, power station or a storage bank that has that USB port, so very easy to get set up. They do include collapsible diffusers, so in the up position like I have it now, it will shine a bright light out, give you the area mode or you can bring that down, and make it more of a lantern style mode.I will show you how these work. We'll plug them in here in a minute, but not only are you going to get the white diffusers that allow you to do that, you're also going to get four of these colored diffusers to make it a little bit more festive. So you simply just pull this white one off. It's like a silicone material, so it's pretty easy to bend.
And then you take one of the others and just simply pop it in place. And then you've got your different color there. So if you're wanting to add a little bit more festivity to your campsite, you can give the different colors. These are about four feet in length, the USB cable here, so your lights can be about four feet apart from each other when you have them plugged in. I'll go ahead and plug this one in now, so you can see. It's got several different power settings. So you've got your off position, then you flip the switch, it gives you the low light setting and then you switch it again and it will give you the higher setting so that you can give plenty of light.
You can see, it is going to provide lots of light for you so that you can get set up at your campsite. These do come with little carabiners so that you can get these hooked up onto a pull wire or on the top of your tent, wherever you need them to be, so they can hang down. You can set those up either here at the connection point or down here on the base of the light. But then when you're ready to plug in another light, they've got the USB receiver there that will plug into the next slide, so that you can work multiple at the same time. They are independent of each other so you can turn one on or off without the other. So got lots of control there. And as I said, these cords are about four feet long, so you'll have about four feet of distance between each light at max.
So if you're setting these up around your campsite, you'll have a lot of room to work with. And now that I've got the lights on, you can see the little adjuster switch there that controls how bright the light is. So the middle position is the less light and then all the way to the far side is the brighter light. These are pretty compact. They're only about one and a half inches in overall diameter and then when you have that diffuser retracted, it gives you a total length of about two and a quarter of an inch. When you pull that diffuser out, it's going to be just shy of three inches about two 7/8s of an inch long. This does come with a one year warranty from Goal Zero so you can trust that they stand behind their product. It's going to do a good job for you. Very easy to get hooked up, make sure that you have light at your campsite. You can see it also comes with a mesh bag for storage. Keep it all together in your tent or wherever you plan on using it. Very easy to keep track of all the components. I really liked the USB design. It's going to make it convenient to plug into your solar chargers and things that you have at the campsite. Most of them nowadays have a USB port for your phone or whatnot. These will plug in there and give you a nice little light at your campsite. So that's going to complete our look at the Goal Zero Light-A-Life Mini with shades. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
