Wooden American Flag Build. This was a great beginner woodworking project for me and can be for many other beginner woodworkers. It required me to mill down large stock to small. This allowed me more practice using the jointer and planer. But you could also just buy 1x2 lumber from your local home center. This was also my first time burning wood, which you may not see much of on traditional woodworking channels. This wooden American Flag brings together so many skill sets that one must learn to become a good woodworker. During this American Flag build I also got to practice precise layout and measuring skills. I didn’t expect this pallet wood American Flag to be such a hit but I’ve already had many people requesting one built for them, which I’m happy to do. I absolutely love the patients woodworking requires and the beauty of a finished project. This Wooden American Flag build shows how to build an American Flag out of pallet wood.
