About the polishing issue:
I find when the nail is dry and there is no trace of oil in the "crevices" the polish sticks to itself and you can see clearly how close to skin you can paint. When there is even the tiniest amount of oil (to make the skin look better) the border gets blurry and the polish easily floods the skin I find.
