The Australian heldenbaritone, John Wegner, and American soprano, Karen Notare, perform Jochanaan and Salome's first scene in a production of Richard Strauß's SALOME. This production was presented during April 1999 at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin as part of Opera Ireland’s Spring Season and was conducted by Laurent Wagner. The portrait of John Wegner as Jochanaan was painted in 2015 by the artist Sally West.
