I just want to point out some weaknesses of quilts. Not everyone talks about the down sides of quilts especially if you are a restless sleeper in cold weather. That's all😄

This is mostly for ground dwellers. Hammocks are a different story. There are pros and cons of both sleeping bags and quilts.


Backpacking quilts can be great in warmer weather. Cold weather is where quilts struggle. Drafts can be a pain in the neck literally!
