Mercedes S63 2014 Battery Location and Change. Lithium Ion starter.
The original battery lasted about 9 years. When the battery on mine died I could not find much info so I created this video. These cars will not take a regular lead acid battery. I paid about 2K for a replacement from Mercedes. The parts guy at the dealer told me that he heard the car will start off a regular lead acid battery, but it would not charge it. So, you need the lithium ion battery, which as of Dec 2022 was only available from Mercedes.
The battery is located in the trunk behind a panel that is just behind the driver's side rear seat.
I did not connect the car to any kind of drip power source when I changed the battery and I did not lose memory and the car worked just fine when I fired it back up.
