Extreme Föhn mountain wind storm near Weissbad, Appenzell, Switzerland, gusting to 197 km/h (122 mph, EF2 strength), with an average wind speed of 120 km/h (75 mph). Very difficult to fight that one. Ears popping from fast pressure changes within the gusts. Was basically lying flat on the ground with one arm stretched up for measuring and trying to hold myself in position with the other. No steep terrain nor trees or any structures close by, therefore no debris and relatively safe. But saw grass and soil being picked up and carried away. Note that I am a bit below the top of that hill, where the flow is additionally channelized, possibly adding a few mph. CAUTION: Loud sound, you might want to lower playback volume.
