This was the only close game that I had while trying to go on an undefeated run with a perfect 12 and 0 record on the last day of June before July started and the POTM switched to GO Rudy Gay so I could unlock the my team unlimited mode's free player of the month reward card 99 overall galaxy opal George Gervin.

I was feeling pretty fatigued after playing so many games in a row, and that translated to an extremely sloppy first quarter where I made a bunch of bad turnovers and got absolutely shredded on defense. I had to turn off my full court press and pull back my defenders into a half court press for the second and third quarters. But once I dialed down the defensive pressure, my opponent really started to milk the clock and slow the game down to protect his early lead, so I had to put the fullcourt press back on in the fourth quarter to speed him up and create more possessions to give myself an opportunity to comeback from a double digit deficit. I had a tough time scoring against this guy's 3-2 zone because my players kept randomly cutting to the basket and running right into the defense instead of spotting up for three and staying behind the three point line whenever they'd be left wide open. Once my opponent switched to a man defense I was finally able to run some set plays and consistently create some higher percentage scoring chances. Both teams benefited from a bunch of flukey plays that had weirdly lucky/unlucky outcomes; the RNG was running wild in this match, with an even tilt at both ends of the floor. It was also really tough for me to time my shots due to some noticeable input lag on my end that persisted for the entire match. The myteam servers have just been super laggy on all systems ever since that $3 sale happened a few weeks ago.
