Som Chai, my newest venture is taking me back to my passion for Thai cuisine. Opening soon, Som Chai serves the authentic dishes of regional Thailand with some exquisite fine dining twists.
Patong is where Phuket gets its reputation, here on the 'strip' entertainments are offered for all, from all, but despite the enthusiastic invitations offered Palm and I head out to see some Muay Thai boxing before strolling into the infamous strip and its street food. The ancient art of Muay Thai trains the body to be the one and only weapon, the action is fast, it is furious and it is frantic to watch, you definately feel the edge as a spectator, we worked up a real appetite just watching that could only be satisfied by some exellent street food in the form of my favourite, the Isaan Soup of tripe, liver and milk and some Nam Doc of Pork.
