According to a recent Economic Policy Institute study, last year’s college graduates faced high levels of unemployment and underemployment. Dr. Brian Bridges, Vice President of Research and Member Engagement of the United Negro College Fund discusses an initiative to help college graduates find jobs.
Dr. Bridges stated, “Over the last 50 years, for the most part, the black unemployment rate has always exceeded 10 percent. Which is the high point of the Great Recession, but that’s the low point for African Americans.”
