In Part 2 of our window shopping spree, Johnny Bean and I had to Guitar Center where check out several guitars and we play the conveted EVH Frankenstein Relic Guitar through a Marshall head and 2x12 EVH speaker cab. I have to say... that guitar is amazing! There's no hype behind this thing.. even though it's made in Mexico, it's clearly made by people who really want to do this guitar justice! The neck is unbelievably comfortable to play, it has all the right parts and detail you need just missing the weather and the reflectors if you want to go all out copy. And though you might not have the same options with a guitar that has a functioning neck and middle pickup (do believe there's an option to connect the neck pickup so you can have that functioning if you want)... the clarity of that humbucker in the bridge is just fantastic! I know not too many people get a chance to put their hands on one of these and even though the price has shot up quite a bit since they were first released, I don't think you can buy a better guitar at this price range.... if this is the sort of thing you're looking for... PERIOD!
