Gateway Church, a megachurch in Southlake, has fired another pastor, this time for a "moral issue," according to a church official.
Kemtal Glasgow was the executive pastor who handled Gateway's church campuses throughout North Texas.
Elder Tra Willbanks stated that Gateway leaders were told of an issue regarding Glasgow last week and decided he could no longer be employed by the church.
Willbanks stated that Adana Wilson, the campus pastor of Gateway's Frisco church campus, will take over Glasgow's responsibilities.
Glasgow's departure occurs during a period of significant turmoil at Gateway this summer.
Robert Morris, the founding pastor, resigned in June after charges of child sexual abuse were made against him.
The backlash began when Robert Morris' accuser, Cindy Clemishire, came forward with her story, alleging that Morris began sexually abusing her in the early 1980s.
She was 12 years old at the time, and Morris was in his 20s.
After the charges were made public, Morris apologized to his congregation that he was "involved in inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady," but he did not specify the girl's age.
Following an overwhelming public outcry, Morris chose to resign from the church on June 18.
In July, Morris' son, James Morris, resigned from the church.
James Morris was set to succeed his father as the church's main pastor when he retired next year.
