Julie Taymor's opulent, lavish vision of Shakespeare's magical masterpiece is broadcast in Cineworld. A Midsummer Night's Dream remains one of Shakespeare's most enduringly popular plays, featuring innumerable classic characters from Puck the Sprite to hapless man-turned-donkey Bottom. In 2014, director of stage and screen Julie Taymor, responsible for the acclaimed Broadway production of The Lion King, brought a visually dazzling new vision of the play to New York's Theatre for a New Audience, which played to sell-out crowds.

Now distributor Omniverse Viision brings her work to Cineworld screens. The production boasts formidable credentials, including a score by Oscar-winning Alien 3 and Frida composer Elliot Goldenthal, and cinematography by the noted Rodrigo Prieto, who has helped turn the likes of Brokeback Mountain and Argo into visually dynamic spectacles. Described as "funny, sexy and darkly poetic", this is a must-see for fans and newcomers alike. David Harewood, Tina Benko, Max Casella, and Kathryn Hunter lead the cast.
